Amy Wong presides over Ping Yoga and has a BA from UCSB in Chinese and Global Peace and Security. She lived in Asia for 3 years during the mid to late nineties, where she indulged her passion for travel. Back in Santa Barbara, and after many an odd job, she embarked on a career as a travel writer. She circled the globe, but remained a pauper, and eventually left her post to try her hand in the business world. Predictably miserable, she did at least earn enough to further her exploration of yoga and did have the fortune to end up working for a nutrition company, which pushed her to incorporate a yogic and preventive healthcare approach to all areas of her life. Amy soon left the world of fledgling startups and board meetings to teach yoga, while also returning to travel writing. However, she currently writes more than she travels, but that's a good thing, with Ping in the picture. |
